The Listener

After some time the Fool leaned over the edge of the boat.  Looking through the sea of birches, he spotted a creature with its ears pricked, listening intently.

“Good day Sir,” called out the Fool, “What are you doing there, so still and quiet.”

The hare (for such it was) whispered to the Fool,

“I am listening to a spider spin a web in the Tzar’s palace.”

Love the way you have captured the thoughtful listening expression on the hare. Eyes full of soul too! 🙂

    1. Thanks Mo, I do rather like them. I am working on the first big version now. Scary and slow.

  3. Incredibly realised. Imagination captured by pencil and paper. Just lovely.
